Akkodis is seeking an experienced Product Sourcing Engineer III for a 6+ Months Contract. This is an on-site position in Atlanta, GA 30318. Job Title: Product Sourcing Engineer III Location: Onsite-Atlanta, GA 30318.

Duration: 6+ Month Contract Rate Range: $58/hr to $60/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.) Job Summary: Duties/Responsibilities: The Product Sourcing Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of the client's product hardware across their lifecycle, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including folks in engineering, quality, and manufacturing. Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list NPI (new product introduction) - related activities, including: Leading DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews between Design Engineers and suppliers RFQ and Sourcing with approved suppliers Dual sourcing for critical, complex, and/or high-volume parts Entry and maintenance of Item Master data (Lead Time, Preferred Supplier, etc) in Oracle and internal systems Managing NPI Capex Ensure completion of all component qualifications (FAI, PPAP, etc), ahead of production Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility Supplier negotiations as needed to optimize cost Complete BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing, etc.

Reduce complexity: commonality optimization & component/supplier rationalization Analyze and execute on the outsourcing of mechanical & electromechanical subassemblies to qualified suppliers Manage ad-hoc cost issues, e.g., tariffs/import export costs, and cost inflation Sustaining-related PSE activities for current & legacy products Any other activities and skills noted in the IC3 column of the PSE Leveling Matrix Required Skills: Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance 3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, & procurement bachelor’s degree in engineering, procurement/supply chain, or other technical field. Intermediate-level Excel capability (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.) Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO (Total Cost Ownership) - related work at the component & product level Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Preferred Skills: Oracle and/or TeamCenter experience is a plus Deeper experience within: Design & development of electronics and/or mechanical devices Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing managers Supplier development (technology, process, supply chain, etc.) Early supplier engagement, ahead of product/engineering requirement realization Ideal candidate has worked in the Aerospace and/or Defense-related field Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled: Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
