Job Description
Realtime Recruitment are seeking an experienced Product Manager to support market-leading Time and Synchronization test and measurement solutions for the telecoms and datacoms sector. This role involves working closely with customers and a multidisciplinary team to bring innovative solutions from concept through development, while ensuring sales and marketing teams can effectively communicate product value. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven, organized professional who enjoys multi-tasking, communicating directly with customers, and learning new technologies.
Key Responsibilities Understand strategic objectives and develop products that leverage technical expertise. Conduct user research to identify current and future needs and articulate these clearly. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to prioritize work that delivers the most value.
Define development project scope, balancing time-to-market, product cost, feature set, and quality. Communicate product value through presentations, documentation, training, demos, and customer interactions. Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and seminars.
Track key metrics to support engineering, manufacturing, and management decisions. Skills, Experience, and Qualifications 5+ years in Product Management or a closely related role. Experience with high-value, low-volume technology products, electronic/hardware experience essential.
Conducting effective discovery sessions with users. Ability to analyse market data and identify opportunities. Strong technical background (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience).
Clear communication of decisions and rationale. Ability to quickly learn and articulate new technologies. Willingness to travel internationally (~25% of the role).
Knowledge of monitoring or measurement systems. Experience with open/disaggregated network architectures or communications technology. Familiarity with Ethernet/IP and synchronization technologies.
Experience with 4G/5G networks or datacoms infrastructure. Previous work in test and measurement for telecoms/datacoms. Understanding of network equipment (switches, routers, servers, firewalls).
