The Role

Product Liability Solicitor - London - Hybrid - Up to £95,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a specialist team handling complex product liability and insurance coverage disputes on behalf of insurer clients. The role offers exposure to high-value, technically challenging litigation, often involving multi-party claims and matters exceeding £1 million.

You'll manage your own caseload of defendant product liability claims while supporting Partners on large-scale, strategic litigation. Working closely with insurers, claims handlers, Counsel and expert witnesses, you'll play a key role throughout the lifecycle of each claim, from initial investigation through to resolution. This is an ideal opportunity for a legal professional looking to further develop their technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

• Managing a caseload of defendant product liability and insurance coverage matters
• Assisting Partners on complex, high-value and multi-party litigation
• Advising insurer clients on coverage, liability, quantum and litigation strategy
• Drafting pleadings, coverage advice and other legal documentation
• Preparing and issuing court proceedings, managing disclosure and witness evidence
• Liaising with Counsel, expert witnesses, insurer clients and senior claims handlers
• Participating in mediation, ADR and settlement negotiations where appropriate
• Attending client meetings, conferences and court hearings as required
• Ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering an exceptional client service

The Candidate

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in defendant product liability litigation
• Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, negligence and breach of contract
• Excellent litigation, drafting and case management skills
• Able to manage competing priorities and work to chargeable time targets
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Confident communicator with experience of working closely with insurer clients and claims professionals
• Able to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Ambitious legal professional looking to build a long-term career within a specialist litigation practice
