Product Development Manager (Jewelry) (Los Angeles)

Overview We are a Los Angeles–based jewelry company known for crafting exquisite collections that blend timeless elegance with modern design. We specialize in fine jewelry made from high-quality materials, with an emphasis on innovation and wearable art. We are seeking a seasoned Product Development Manager to lead new collection initiatives from conceptual design through production and market launch.

The ideal candidate will oversee cross-functional collaboration, manage international supplier relations, and ensure each piece meets the highest quality and aesthetic standards. This role offers the opportunity to shape distinctive jewelry lines that resonate with discerning customers. Responsibilities Lead the design process, translating market trends and customer feedback into new jewelry concepts, including CAD models and sketches.

Manage the full product development lifecycle from concept to final sample approval, maintaining project timelines, budgets, and status reports. Partner with manufacturers and international suppliers to source materials, oversee prototype creation, negotiate costs, and ensure on-time delivery. Establish and enforce quality standards throughout the development process, ensuring products meet design, legal, and quality requirements.

Conduct market research to identify trends, monitor competitor activities, and analyze sales data to inform product strategy. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other internal teams to ensure seamless product launches and alignment with brand strategies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in jewelry design, gemology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience as a Jewelry Product Development Manager or similar role.

Proven expertise in jewelry product development and production, including CAD software (Rhino, Matrix) and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical abilities. A keen eye for detail, creativity, and a solid understanding of jewelry and fashion trends.
