Location: Delhi (On-site) Level: Mid (3โ5 years) Reporting to: Head of Product About the Role BCCL's product team is building the next generation of editorial and AI-powered tools โ products used by thousands of journalists, editors, and newsroom operators across India's largest media group. We're looking for a Product Designer who can go deep on problems, design with intent, and raise the quality bar on everything they touch. What You'll Work On End-to-end design across complex editorial workflows โ from discovery and wireframes to polished, dev-ready specs UX for AI-native product surfaces: surfacing model outputs, managing uncertainty, designing for trust and transparency Building and maintaining a design system that scales across multiple products and user types User research โ interviews, usability testing, synthesis โ not as a checkbox but as how decisions get made Interaction design and prototyping to communicate and validate ideas before a line of code is written Visual UI work that matches the ambition of the products โ not templated, not generic Who You Are 3โ5 years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates range โ research, interaction, and visual craft Strong grasp of B2B SaaS, consumer apps, or media/publishing tools โ you understand complex workflow products and the users who depend on them Comfortable designing for AI-powered features : you know how to handle latency, edge cases, error states, and model confidence in UX โ not just happy paths Figma is your primary tool; you use research tools (Maze, Dovetail, or equivalent) as a regular part of your process You can hold your own in a product conversation โ you push back on scope, flag design debt, and advocate for the user without needing to be asked Self-directed enough to drive your own work forward; collaborative enough to know when to pressure-test your thinking Strong written and verbal communication โ you can articulate design decisions clearly to PMs, engineers, and leadership What This Is Not A pixel-pushing execution role A role where \"the PM figures out the problem and hands it to design\" A team with bureaucratic design review cycles Nice to Have Experience designing newsrooms, CMS platforms, or content tools Exposure to LLM output design, generative AI interfaces, or human-in-the-loop workflows Prototyping beyond Figma (Principle, ProtoPie, or similar) What We Offer Products at genuine scale A team that moves fast and takes design seriously Work that matters: you're shaping how India's largest newsroom operates How to Apply Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed - no exceptions.
