Procurement & Supply Chain Executive Pune About Altair Altair is a deep-technology company working across aerospace, defence, autonomous systems, advanced manufacturing, electronics, and next-generation engineering technologies. We are building complex products that require seamless coordination between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and logistics partners. We are seeking a highly organized and execution-focused Procurement & Supply Chain Executive to manage procurement, vendor coordination, logistics, imports, and inventory operations across multiple engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities Procurement Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiations, purchase order generation, and supplier onboarding. Source mechanical, electronic, electrical, composite, and aerospace-related materials and services. Develop and maintain a reliable vendor network.

Material Planning & Follow-Up Track purchase orders from release through final delivery. Monitor supplier progress and proactively manage delivery schedules. Escalate delays and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams.

Maintain visibility of all open procurement actions and material commitments. Logistics & Imports Coordinate domestic and international shipments. Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners.

Support import documentation, customs clearance coordination, and shipment tracking. Ensure timely movement of critical project materials and equipment. Inventory Management Maintain inventory records for materials, components, consumables, and finished goods.

Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment actions. Support material receipt, inspection coordination, and inventory audits. Improve inventory accuracy and material traceability.

Vendor Management Build and maintain relationships with suppliers across mechanical, electronics, aerospace, and manufacturing domains. Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and commercial competitiveness. Support vendor development initiatives and alternate source identification.

Reporting & Controls Maintain procurement, inventory, and logistics dashboards. Generate regular status reports on open orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal processes.

Desired Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline. 5–7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, materials management, or operations. Strong working knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management. Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Odoo, Zoho, or equivalent systems.

Import/export and customs coordination. Experience working with Aerospace, defence, electronics, manufacturing, or engineering industries.
