We are expanding our operations in Spain and seeking a strategic and driven Indirect Procurement Manager to strengthen our regional procurement capabilities.
Role Overview
The Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing indirect procurement activities across JD’s operations in Spain, with a focus on logistics, warehousing, transportation, facilities, and professional services. This role will partner closely with business and local stakeholders to drive cost efficiency, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives supporting JD’s growth in Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities for indirect categories in Spain, including logistics services, facility management, IT & professional services, marketing, and office operations.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with JD’s global standards while addressing local business needs in Spain.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing relationship management within the Spanish market.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth execution of sourcing projects.
- Conduct spend analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement procurement best practices.
- Ensure supplier compliance with JD’s ethical, sustainability, and operational standards.
- Support contract management and monitor supplier KPIs, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with the global procurement team in China to align strategies, share market insights, and leverage global frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably within e-commerce, logistics, or retail industries.
- Proven track record in sourcing logistics and facility-related categories in Spain or Southern Europe.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Deep familiarity with Spanish procurement regulations, labor/facility compliance, and local supplier markets.
- Professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience working in a multicultural, fast-paced, and matrix organization.
