Procurement Business Partner
Morgan Law
Job Description
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Excellent Benefits
Location: London (Field-based – minimum 3 days per week across client sites)
Are you an experienced public sector procurement professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence procurement strategy, build trusted stakeholder relationships and deliver measurable commercial value?
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading collaborative procurement organisation to recruit two Procurement Business Partners covering East London and West London. These are highly visible, stakeholder-facing roles that offer the opportunity to work with senior leaders across multiple healthcare organisations, helping them maximise value from procurement while delivering significant savings and service improvements.
This is far more than a traditional procurement role. You'll become a trusted advisor to your portfolio of organisations, identifying opportunities for collaboration, driving procurement best practice and supporting strategic procurement initiatives that make a real difference.
The Opportunity
As Procurement Business Partner, you will be the primary procurement contact for a portfolio of healthcare organisations, providing expert advice, influencing procurement decisions and helping stakeholders achieve greater value through collaborative procurement solutions.
You'll spend the majority of your time building relationships on-site with clients, understanding their procurement priorities, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the delivery of cost improvement programmes and procurement strategies.
Working closely with specialist procurement, commercial, data analytics and category teams, you'll help organisations make informed procurement decisions while ensuring compliance with public procurement legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted procurement advisor for a portfolio of healthcare organisations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple sites.
- Identify opportunities to deliver procurement efficiencies, cost savings and improved commercial outcomes.
- Promote collaborative procurement frameworks and compliant routes to market.
- Support procurement workplans, contract renewals and new procurement initiatives.
- Analyse procurement and spend data to identify opportunities for value creation.
- Lead procurement discussions and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
- Promote best practice, innovation, sustainability and social value across procurement activities.
- Work collaboratively with internal procurement specialists to deliver strategic procurement solutions.
- Support organisations in achieving procurement compliance while maximising commercial benefit.
About You
We're keen to hear from procurement professionals who enjoy working directly with stakeholders and influencing procurement strategy rather than remaining purely operational.
You'll ideally possess:
- Significant experience within public sector procurement.
- Strong knowledge of UK Public Procurement Regulations.
- Experience delivering strategic sourcing, framework call-offs and above-threshold procurements.
- A proven track record of delivering savings, efficiencies and value for money.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using procurement data to inform decision-making.
- MCIPS qualification (or equivalent procurement experience) is highly desirable.
Experience within the NHS or wider healthcare sector would be advantageous; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with broader public sector procurement backgrounds, including local government, central government, education, blue light services or housing.
What's on Offer?
- Salary of £65,000 - £70,000
- Two opportunities available (East London & West London)
- High-profile stakeholder-facing role with significant autonomy
- Opportunity to influence procurement strategy across multiple organisations
- Collaborative and supportive working environment
- Excellent professional development opportunities
- Hybrid working with regular client-site engagement across London
If you're looking for a role where you can combine your procurement expertise with relationship management, commercial influence and strategic delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
