Overview: Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Process Engineer Technician specializing in Seat Assembly and CKPT (Checkpoint) Assembly. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in optimizing assembly processes, ensuring quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Your expertise will help drive efficiency, enhance product quality, and maintain a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial equipment and robotics within a fast-paced, collaborative factory setting. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and refining assembly line processes for seat and checkpoint components, utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo.
Support the programming and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to ensure seamless operation. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues related to plastics injection molding, welding, fabrication, or tooling to identify solutions that improve quality and throughput. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, optimize workflow, and reduce waste through continuous improvement strategies.
Prepare detailed schematics and technical documentation for industrial equipment, process flows, and mechanical systems using CAD tools and GD&T standards. Participate in project scheduling activities to meet production timelines while maintaining safety and quality standards. Assist in factory audits for ISO 9001 compliance and support the integration of new manufacturing technologies or process upgrades.
Requirements: Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility or industrial engineering environment with hands-on exposure to assembly lines, robotics, or fabrication processes. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plastics injection molding, welding techniques, CNC programming (CAM), and tool fabrication. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and schematic design tools; experience with vision inspection systems is a plus.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robot programming, CNC operations, and industrial equipment maintenance. Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods; experience with lean manufacturing methodologies is highly desirable. Excellent understanding of schematics, GD&T standards, CAM programming, and factory safety protocols aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
