The Opportunity We’re looking to fill an opening for a Process Engineer to join our Business Management team. Reporting to the Director, Business Management, the Process Engineer is responsible for engineering, design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of delegated business processes across the SOCON division, ensuring processes are consistent, measurable, and scalable. This role focuses on process architecture and ensuring design integrity (e.g., process hierarchy, standards, and future‑state design), working in partnership with the Process Engineering team and Business Management leadership, to deliver aligned outcomes for business processes across the SOCON process hierarchy.

What Your Day Looks Like Document current‑state processes and understand applicable stakeholder requirements. Engineer and enhance future‑state business process designs across SOCON to standardize user/customer experience, improve efficiency, consistency, and enable scalability. Maintain the process hierarchy and apply established process management standards and methodologies to ensure alignment with business governance.

Translate validated business requirements into implementation‑ready process design artifacts that support operational execution. Measure and validate process health and feasibility through effective collaboration with stakeholders across various functional groups. Support process automation and system migration initiatives by ensuring processes are clearly defined, structured, and ready for implementation.

Provide structured process design inputs to support downstream Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, without owning SOP authorship or document control. Your Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree in business, STEM, Operations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in process design, process improvement, or operational transformation roles, demonstrating increasing scope and complexity of work. Demonstrated ability to develop future‑state process design artifacts that support implementation of process modernization efforts, operational readiness, and business change initiatives.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and process modeling tools (e.g., Visio or equivalent), with the ability to produce clear, professional process design outputs. Experience and proficiency in root‑cause analysis, process data analysis (MS Excel, SQL, etc.), performance measurement and continuous improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of process hierarchy concepts and established process management frameworks, with the ability to apply standards consistently across assigned processes.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is an asset. Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently with cross‑functional partners and incorporate feedback into process designs. Strong proficiency in English is required and bilingual fluency in French is an asset.
