An opportunity has become available for a Principal Software Developer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Analyse, identify and formulate product and service improvements
- Lead and provide software development and related technical specialist support services
- Be able to participate in a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction
- Design and develop high quality enterprise software application products, components and services
- Manage and contribute to the development, publication, implementation and compliance to technical policies
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Participation in on-call arrangements will be a requirement for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply
- Proven experience as a full stack developer, with demonstrable capabilities in both front-end and back-end development.
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Solid understanding of SDLC principles, with practical experience managing or delivering across the full lifecycle of software projects.
- Agile Tooling Strong experience using Jira to manage user stories, sprints, and software delivery workflows.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $144,315 - $154,879 per annum
