Principal Project Engineer-Avionics

Honeywell Aerospace Anthem Avionics is leading the development of the Honeywell Anthem integrated flight deck, a cloud‑connected cockpit system designed for a wide range of aircraft. As a Principal Project Engineer you will be a planning and execution leader for customer projects, driving overall program performance and making key decisions on cost, schedule, and technical execution. You will work within cross‑functional teams on cutting‑edge projects to transform the way aircraft operate.

Responsibilities Global Project Methodology Technical leadership Project planning and execution of Honeywell Aerospace proprietary customer programs Feature Definition Qualifications – Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems, or Computer Science from an accredited institution 10+ years of relevant engineering experience Qualifications – Preferred Experience with integrated avionics systems and complex system‑of‑systems architectures Knowledge of industry regulations, certification standards, and compliance processes Business acumen including familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program financials Demonstrated experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary engineering programs Strong ability to operate with minimal supervision and make high‑impact decisions Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Strong understanding of change management and configuration management U.S. Person Requirement Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S., or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
