This role focuses on developing real-time, efficient computer vision pipelines optimized for microcontrollers and microprocessors across industrial, medical, and aerospace applications.**Key Responsibilities*** Architect end-to-end vision pipelines (capture → preprocessing → inference → post-processing)* Optimize CNN models using quantization, pruning, and memory-aware techniques* Enable camera interfaces, ISP pipelines, and real-time performance tuning* Collaborate with silicon, tools, and applications teams to influence roadmap* Mentor engineers and drive technical leadership across projects**Requirements/Qualifications:*** BS in EE/CS or related field with 10+ years of experience* Strong expertise in embedded systems and computer vision* Proficiency in C/C++, RTOS/Linux environments* Experience with TinyML frameworks (e.g., TFLite Micro) and model optimization* Familiarity with low-power design and hardware accelerationPreferred* MS/PhD in EE/CS or related field**Travel Time:**0% - 25%**Physical Attributes:**Feeling, Hearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around Others**Physical Requirements:**80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% standingMicrochip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
