Principal Electrical Engineer The Principal Electronics Engineer will be a crucial part of the Research and Development organization, playing an essential role in the development of a groundbreaking robotic platform that is set to transform the future of healthcare. This position involves being a technical leader, resolving complex, multi‑disciplinary issues, and developing technical processes and best practices for electrical engineering within a regulated medical device development environment. Responsibilities Lead and resolve complex multidisciplinary issues while adhering to best practices and thorough documentation.
Develop, document, and maintain detailed processes and best practices for medical electronics development. Design, document, and execute electronic tests. Perform circuit analysis, including mixed signal, digital, and analog, with a focus on strong fundamentals and PCB testing.
Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to ensure system performance is optimized. Systematically determine root cause of electro‑mechanical system issues. Essential Skills Strong fundamentals in electronics for analog, digital, and electromechanical design.
Proficiency in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, PCB, analog, digital, and test engineering. Experience with electronic design for motor control and mixed‑signal electronic design. Highly proficient in electrical CAD tools, with Altium preferred.
Proficiency in analytical tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Spice. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; MS or PhD preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D or product development. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience developing Class II & III medical devices in a regulatory environment. Working knowledge of ISO and IEC standards.
Strong technical collaboration skills and ability to drive discussions and decisions. Exceptional data analysis skills. Experience with EMC and electrical safety.

Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Newton, MA. Pay And Benefits Pay range: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour.
