The Newstead Christian School Principal invites expressions of interest from motivated Christian educators for the following role:

Primary Classroom Teacher/s

• Year 5/6, (1.0 FTE - 5 Days)
• Year 5/6, (0.4 FTE - 2 Days)
• Commencing Term 1, 2027

Newstead Christian School invites applications from motivated and engaging Primary teachers to join our committed, Christ-centred learning community. These two full-time and part-time positions involve teaching Upper Primary Year 5/6 classes while integrating faith and learning to inspire both academic growth and spiritual development.

We are seeking an educator who models Christian values, builds strong relationships, and is passionate about nurturing young people in a supportive environment grounded in faith.

A current Tasmanian Teacher’s Registration, a Working with Vulnerable People card and the names and contact details of three referees, one preferably from a Pastor or Minister of a church able to comment on the applicant’s Christian faith, are essential components of the application.

We will be assessing applications as they are submitted and may call for interviews prior to the closing date Monday 19th October 2026.
