We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Classroom Teacher to join our Glenroy Primary Campus on a full-time, fixed-term basis as a maternity leave replacement.
About the Role
As a Primary Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning experiences that support the academic, social and emotional development of students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student learning and progress.
- Differentiating learning to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Building positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
- Working collaboratively within professional learning teams.
- Participating in College activities, meetings and professional development.
- Supporting and upholding the values, ethos and expectations of Ilim College.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and current VIT registration.
- Sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and contemporary teaching practices.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- The ability to monitor, assess and support student achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families.
- A genuine commitment to student wellbeing and educational excellence.
- A willingness to support the Islamic ethos and values of Ilim College.
