School Premises Manager / Facilities Manager Salary: £27,980 – £30,309 per annum + Benefits Location: Stanmore, North West London (HA7) Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week (all year round) Job Overview We have a fantastic new job opportunity to lead the operational management of a school site, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, and well maintained. The School Premises Manager / Facilities Manager will oversee day‑to‑day site operations including maintenance, cleaning, and security while supporting capital projects and ensuring health and safety standards are met. This role suits a proactive individual with facilities management experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage resources effectively within a fast‑paced education setting.

Duties Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and security of the school site Ensure all facilities meet statutory regulations and safety standards Line‑manage caretaking and cleaning staff, including training and supervision Manage external contractors and service providers effectively Develop and deliver planned maintenance schedules and minor works Assist with capital projects in collaboration with senior site management Order consumables and manage facilities‑related supplies Monitor expenditure and ensure value for money across services Work closely with senior leadership to meet operational needs Support opening and closing procedures and ensure site safety at all times Candidate Requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience managing cleaning and caretaking teams Strong understanding of relevant legislation and compliance Proactive approach to resolving maintenance and operational issues Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong planning and prioritisation abilities Previous experience in facilities or site management Benefits Professional development opportunities Pension scheme (subject to eligibility) Retail and lifestyle discounts Flexible working options Well‑being programmes and initiatives Cycle‑to‑work scheme Free staff lunch and on‑site parking Pre‑employment Checks The organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all successful candidates to have an Enhanced DBS check unless internally appointed and still within the cycle of DBS re‑checks.
