Power Systems Field Technician -Texarkana Area

Riggs CAT Description: Riggs Power Systems is hiring an experienced Power Field Technician to support customers in the Texarkana area. This field-based role services and repairs power generation equipment including diesel and gas engines, generators, switchgear, and complex electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large engines, CAT 3500 series frac engines, and/or electric power generation systems, and will deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality service to our customers in the field.

What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, generators, switchgear, and electrical components Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and load bank testing Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using CAT software, schematics, and service manuals Service and maintain large engine platforms, including CAT 3500 series frac engines Support start-ups and commissioning on new power system installations Provide accurate service documentation and communicate clearly with internal teams and customers Participate in an on-call rotation Represent Riggs Power Systems professionally while delivering strong customer service Support customers throughout the Texarkana region and surrounding areas Requirements: What You Bring 3 years of Power Systems experience working with diesel or gas engines, generators, switchgear, or power generation systems Experience with large engines and CAT 3500 series engines (frac engine experience preferred) Oil walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit or smell.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.
