About The Role
Improvix Technologies is looking for a handsâon PowerApps SME to modernize missionâcritical applications at the U.S. Department of State. If youâre passionate about turning outdated tools into sleek, scalable Power Platform solutionsâand enjoy collaborating directly with stakeholders to solve real business challengesâthis role is for you.
Youâll evaluate existing .NET and SharePoint apps, reimagine them through Power Platform, and guide users toward intuitive, futureâready solutions that empower the mission.
What Youâll Do
- Assess & Strategize: Analyze legacy apps (primarily .NET and SharePoint) to determine modernization pathsârefactor, rebuild, or replace using Power Platform.
- Design & Develop: Create endâtoâend Power Apps and Power Automate workflows leveraging Dataverse, M365, and external data sources.
- Prototype with Purpose: Build quick, functional proofs of concept that demonstrate the âart of the possibleâ with lowâcode innovation.
- Enable & Empower: Support business users and citizen developers to extend, maintain, and optimize their apps.
- Document & Educate: Produce clear, concise documentation and deliver handsâon training to both technical and nonâtechnical audiences.
- Champion Best Practices: Lead by exampleâensure your builds follow scalable architecture, strong UX/UI design, data governance, and security compliance.
What You Bring
- 5+ years in IT solution development, including 2+ years focused on Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and integrating APIs or enterprise data sources
- Deep knowledge of Power Fx, Dataverse schema design, and solution architecture
- Strong mentoring and communication skillsâcomfortable coaching users through app maintenance
- Familiarity with M365, Power BI, and basic scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript)
Bonus Skills
- Experience supporting federal or highâcompliance environments
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- A good eye for clean, intuitive UX/UI design
Certifications
Required
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Developer
