Job Description

The Ondrus Lab uses a combination of small molecule tools, protein biochemistry, and cell biology to reveal new dimensions of cholesterol metabolite signaling in human health. Our goal is to dissect novel mechanisms of metabolite control and translate our discoveries to the design of new molecular therapeutics. We have funded positions for 2 postdoctoral scholars with specific expertise in:

(1) Proteomics mass spectrometry

(2) Live-cell fluorescence microscopy

Extensive work with mammalian cell culture and direct experience with cell signaling assays, DNA/protein electrophoresis, and standard cloning techniques is required. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced skills in proteome-wide mass spectrometry analysis, live-cell single molecule/super resolution imaging, and/or CRISPR/Cas gene editing. Salary is commensurate with federal standards and level of experience.

This is an opportunity to participate in high-impact science within a diverse environment where members receive extensive scientific and career mentorship.

Qualified candidates should send a formal CV, contact information for 2-3 references, and a brief application with the following sections (limited to 1-page total):
