Call for applications for a Post-doc position within the OPUS 30 project (No. 2025/59/B/NZ4/02602) at the Eugeniusz Piasecki University of Physical Education in Poznań, Department of Neuromuscular Physiotherapy; contract type: employment contract.
Requirements
relevant educational background in a field related to neurophysiology—specifically biological sciences, medical biology, medical sciences, health sciences, physical culture sciences, biomedical engineering, or psychology;
doctoral degree in a discipline related to neurophysiology—specifically biological sciences, medical biology, medical sciences, health sciences, physical culture sciences, biomedical engineering, or psychology;
documented research record (publications) in a discipline related to neurophysiology—specifically biological sciences, medical biology, medical sciences, health sciences, physical culture sciences, biomedical engineering, or psychology;
at least three publications in journals with an Impact Factor, with the candidate listed as first or last author (publications from prior to the doctorate will also be considered);
documented participation in a research grant or completion of a domestic or international research internship (lasting at least one week);
experience in psychophysical or neurophysiological research concerning the human musculoskeletal system, or experience providing engineering, hardware, statistical, or algorithmic support for such research (e.g., in biomechanics, biomedical signal processing, analysis of data from EMG, motion capture, dynamometric, or stabilometric systems, mathematical modeling, biopotential analysis, bio-algorithms, or computational neuroscience projects);
good command of English, enabling fluent communication and the publication of research results in English-language journals;
knowledge of and documented interest in the functioning of the nervous system, particularly regarding the neurophysiology of movement and neuromuscular function. knowledge of the fundamentals of neurophysiological assessment of the musculoskeletal or neuromuscular system
Scope of duties
analysis of the neurophysiological profile of motor units and spinal excitability in humans undergoing whole-body vibration training combined with transspinal direct current stimulation (tsDCS);
conducting neurophysiological experiments under the supervision of the project manager;
assisting in the organization of the laboratory and the research setup;
preparing neurophysiological experiments;
data analysis and assistance in the preparation of publications;
