Playwright SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Playwright SDET to join our Quality Engineering team supporting Cross-Border Banking projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation testing, API validation, and collaboration across distributed teams. This role requires a proactive professional with hands-on experience in modern test automation frameworks and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, execute, and automate functional test cases for Cross-Border Banking applications and projects Perform dry runs of automated test suites, including test data setup and validation, to ensure successful execution Collaborate closely with onshore teams, application development teams, and QE stakeholders to clarify testing requirements, test case generation, and test data needs Develop and maintain UI automation scripts using Playwright Perform API automation and validation using Postman Utilize GitHub Copilot and AI-enabled tools to improve automation efficiency, productivity, and code quality Identify, track, and resolve defects while ensuring overall application quality and stability Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA and automation processes Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience working as an SDET or Automation Test Engineer Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework Experience with API automation and testing using Postman Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, QA methodologies, and software testing lifecycle Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Technical proficiency in relevant programming/scripting languages Nice to Have Exposure to or willingness to learn Performance Testing using LoadRunner Experience with Hexawise test design tools Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipeline processes Knowledge of Accessibility Testing standards and practices
