Platform Engineer

Job Role : Senior DevOps Engineer Exp : 5+ years Location : Remote Job Time : 10am - 7pm Notice : Immediate to 15 days Role Overview We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (AWS) with strong hands-on experience in building and managing AWS infrastructure from the ground up. This person will set up the initial cloud platform foundation for startup hedge funds, establish the DevOps framework, design and build CI/CD pipelines, provision infrastructure using Terraform, and deliver practical monitoring, alerting, and cost visibility. This is a high-ownership, highly outcome-driven role for someone who can design solutions, build them hands-on, and create a secure, scalable, and efficient AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities Design and build secure, scalable, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure for startup hedge fund environments. Set up the initial cloud platform foundation, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, deployment model, and environment structure. Define and implement the DevOps framework, including CI/CD standards, release flow, deployment automation, and platform guardrails.

Use Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources through Infrastructure as Code. Build CI/CD pipelines for both application and infrastructure deployment. Set up and manage core AWS services including EC2, EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, Route 53, Load Balancers, CloudWatch, and RDS.

Build a cost dashboard, monitoring dashboard, and basic operational alerting for platform health, failures, and critical events. Implement secure handling of secrets, certificates, and environment configuration, and support backup, DR, and platform reliability. Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and building greenfield environments from scratch. Strong production experience with Terraform. Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

Hands-on experience with EKS and container-based deployments. Strong working knowledge of EC2, IAM, VPC, networking, load balancers, autoscaling, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, and RDS. Good understanding of infrastructure security, access control, and cloud architecture best practices.

Experience building monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards. Strong Python or shell scripting skills for automation, tooling, and platform engineering tasks. Strong Linux administration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership.
