Position: Plant Manager - Manufacturing Operations


Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Sonasan - Prantij, Himatnagar, 383210, Gujarat.


Role Overview


We are looking for a dynamic, methodical, and process-driven leader with a proven record of setting up and improving factories, systems, and teams. The Plant Head will oversee all manufacturing operations, including:

  • Production
  • Maintenance
  • Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  • Dispatch
  • Inventory & Warehouse
  • Projects & Utilities
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Any other critical plant functions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complete plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Dispatch.
  • Ensure smooth daily manufacturing flow with high output efficiency, minimal downtime, and timely order fulfilment.
  • Build, upgrade, and enforce SOPs across all departments to ensure consistent, standardised operations.
  • Strengthen quality systems to meet FSSAI, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and internal Pintola standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, labour, environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain excellent plant hygiene, documentation practices, audit readiness, and corrective action closures.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure high machine uptime and reliability.
  • Identify process bottlenecks, implement efficiency-driven solutions, and plan capacity enhancement.
  • Lead and develop multi-level plant teams with focus on training, performance culture, and accountability.
  • Foster strong inter-department coordination for production planning, material management, and forecasting.
  • Analyse operational MIS, daily/weekly dashboards, and present improvements to leadership.
  • Support plant expansion projects, layout improvements, new line setups, and technology upgrades.
  • Build a culture of safety, discipline, teamwork, and high performance across all plant functions.
  • Manage plant budgets, cost controls, material consumption, and operational optimisation.
  • Act as the key operational link between the plant and senior management.

Must Have

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG/Food/Manufacturing operations.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering / Food Technology / Operations / Industrial Management preferred).
  • Strong plant/operations leadership experience with multi-department management.
  • Proven track record in setting up, improving, or scaling factories.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning, QA, maintenance, and safety systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with dynamic and confident leadership presence.
  • Highly structured, process-driven, disciplined, and proactive.

Good to Have

  • Experience in high growth/fast-moving brands.
  • Experience with automation and modern production systems.
  • Ability to manage large teams (100+ workforce).
  • Strong understanding of compliance, audits, and food industry certifications.
