Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of a manufacturing facility supporting multi-shift operations. This role leads Production and Maintenance teams, drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, and partners closely with Engineering and Leadership to support continuous improvement and capital initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage two shifts totaling 65–70 employees, including four direct reports across Production and Maintenance Establish appropriate staffing levels to meet production, business, and customer demand Coach, develop, and mentor leaders and hourly employees to maximize performance and engagement Participate in recruiting, performance management, and employee relations in partnership with HR Plan and manage production schedules and output, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently met Ensure operational readiness for new product launches, including staffing, equipment, and process alignment Lead and support capital projects, including equipment upgrades and facility improvements Facilitate and authorize Capital Expenditure (CapEx) requests within assigned approval levels Review and disposition Engineering Work Requests (EWRs) Review and approve production-related purchase orders Create, track, and present key operational KPIs, including but not limited to: On-Time Complete Shipments (OTCS) Customer PPM Test and re-test failure rates Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, productivity, and cost Qualifications Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Experience managing multi-shift operations and cross-functional teams Background in production leadership, maintenance coordination, and capital projects Strong analytical and KPI-driven decision-making skills Effective communication and leadership capabilities Compensation Base salary target: $100,000–$120,000 No bonus plan associated with this position Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Company-paid life and disability insurance Employee assistance and wellness programs Professional development and tuition assistance opportunities LHH Recruitment Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
