Stress Engineer (Piping) – Oil & Gas Location: Calgary, Hybrid (3 days in office) Overview Insight Global is seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to support piping system design and integrity within oil & gas projects. This role focuses on performing detailed piping stress analysis using industry-leading tools, while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver practical, field-ready engineering solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who brings a strong technical foundation and a pragmatic, solutions-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities Perform piping stress analysis using tools such as Caesar II and/or AutoPIPE Interpret and analyze isometric drawings to support system design accuracy Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements Collaborate closely with design, structural, and project teams to align deliverables Provide practical, real-world engineering solutions to complex piping challenges Support the integrity and performance of piping systems across project phases Required Skills & Experience 5–9 years of experience within the oil & gas industry Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Caesar II and/or AutoPIPE Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Demonstrated practical engineering mindset with problem-solving focus Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Alberta Compensation: $40/hr to $50/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D.
