CRAG is offering a 4-year Predoctoral Grant (FPI Fellowship)
CRAG is offering a 4-year predoctoral grant within the framework of the National Programme for the Promotion of Talent and its Employability in R+D+i (FPI Fellowships).
The fellowship is associated with the “Knowledge Generation Projects” call and the training of predoctoral research staff linked to project PID2025-170493NB-I00 – Transcriptional fidelity as a mechanism encoding time-of-day gated stress responses in plants (FIDEL) (PREP2025, 2025 call).
Selection Criteria
The evaluation process will follow the following criteria and subcriteria:
Criterion 1. Academic and/or Scientific-Technical Background of the Candidate (up to 50 points)
- Subcriterion 1.a): Scientific and Technical Achievements (up to 45 points). The candidate's academic record and other curricular merits will be assessed, as well as their suitability for the tasks to be carried out according to their academic background and professional experience.
- Subcriterion 1.b): Mobility and Internationalization (up to 5 points). The relevance and impact of the candidate's stays in national or international research centres and/or in the industrial sector will be assessed, taking into account the prestige of the host institution and the activities carried out during the stay.
Criterion 2. Suitability of the Candidate for the Research Activities to be Developed (up to 50 points)
The candidate's suitability for the research programme and project will be evaluated based on their previous training and experience. Particular attention will be paid to the added value that the project represents for the candidate's research career, as well as the contribution the candidate can make to the host research group and institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute experiments related to the circadian regulation of plant transcription and chromatin.
- Establish and apply genomics, molecular biology and computational approaches in Arabidopsis and tomato.
- Manage and analyse multi-omics datasets, integrate results, and communicate findings through scientific publications and presentations.
Required
Education, Training and Professional Experience
- Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in molecular biology, plant research or genomics.

- Experience with plant molecular biology and omics techniques.
- Knowledge of circadian rhythms, transcription or chromatin biology.
