JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Cardiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Fort Smith, AR 72903 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: ASAP Dec 31, 2027 Shift Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, day shifts Call Type: In-House Call Response Time: 15 minutes Reason for Coverage: Scheduling Need PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 30-40 patients/day Admissions: 5 Phone Consults: 10 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: PA/NPs: 2-3 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Outpatient - Cardiology Inpatient - Cardiology ICU Non-invasive Echocardiography TEE (Transesophageal Echo) Nuclear Cardiology (Cardiolyte, thallium, etc.) STEMI Invasive cardiology - diagnostic only PA catheter placement IABP (Intra Aortic Balloon pump) placement Cardiac catheterization Heart biopsy Invasive cardiology - Interventional Angioplasty - PTCA Intracoronary stent placement Atherectomy Electrophysiology Cardiac ablation Permanent pacemaker placement Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD/ICD) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: Licensed in AR Certifications: ACLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and management for hospitalized patients. Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures as required. Manage in-house call for cardiology emergencies, including acute coronary syndromes.

Collaborate with the hospitalist team to coordinate patient care. Cover a 7-day on / 7-day off schedule, including day shifts and on-call responsibilities.
