Mid-Level PHP Developer (Symfony / Laravel) – Leeds (Hybrid) £40,000 – £55,000 + strong long-term opportunity Leeds (2 days onsite, central location) The Role You’ll be joining a small but highly capable engineering team, working on backend systems and APIs that are used at scale. There’s a strong focus on clean code, good engineering practices, and collaboration - this isn’t a “ticket factory” environment. Tech Stack PHP (8+) Symfony (or strong Laravel experience) REST APIs MySQL / relational databases AWS (nice to have, not essential) Docker / serverless (bonus) What They’re Looking For Solid PHP experience in a commercial environment Experience with Symfony or Laravel (open on framework) Strong understanding of APIs and backend architecture Someone who can communicate well and work collaboratively Comfortable working in a hybrid team (Leeds-based) What You’ll Get Salary up to ~£55k (flexible for the right person) Hybrid working (2 days onsite, very central office) Supportive, down-to-earth team Real opportunity to influence projects and grow Please note: This role requires candidates to already have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
