Offer Description
Call for applications for a PhD student position within the OPUS 30 project (No. 2025/59/B/NZ4/02602) at the Poznań University of Physical Education (Department of Neurobiology); contract type: research scholarship.
Requirements
- Student of full-time or part-time second-cycle (Master’s) studies at a university in Poland;
- Student in at least the fourth year of full-time or part-time uniform Master’s studies at a university in Poland;
- PhD student participating in a doctoral program conducted by an authorized university unit, a research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a research institute, or an international research institute operating in Poland and established under separate regulations;
- Participant in a doctoral seminar, currently working on a doctoral dissertation;
- University graduate holding a Master’s degree (MA or MSc/MSc Eng.) in biological, neurobiological, medical, or health sciences, or a related field;
- Certificate confirming student or PhD student status;
- Master’s degree (MA or MSc/MSc Eng.) in biological, neurobiological, medical, or health sciences, or a related field;
- Very good command of English (minimum B2 level);
- Proficiency in data analysis software (knowledge of Spike2 software is an additional asset);
- Basic knowledge of electrophysiological techniques, cell biology, anatomy, physiology, and physics;
- Availability and willingness to work flexible hours;
- No contraindications to working with animals.
Scope of duties
- conducting electrophysiological experiments under the supervision of the project manager;
- assisting in the organization of the laboratory and the research workstation;
- preparing electrophysiological experiments;
- data analysis and assistance in the preparation of publications;
- presenting results at national and international conferences and meetings.
