Irish Locums Recruitment Agency Limited, trading as Irish Locums Recruitment & Training and part of Irish Locums Healthcare Group (ILHG), is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technician to join our team and provide pharmacy technician support across client pharmacy locations. The successful candidate will be directly employed by Irish Locums Recruitment Agency Limited and assigned to community pharmacy locations according to operational and client requirements. The role involves supporting pharmacists and pharmacy teams with the safe, accurate and efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary.
Duties will include prescription processing, maintaining patient and medication records, stock control, ordering and receiving pharmacy products, dispensary administration, customer service and the use of pharmacy dispensing systems. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to different pharmacy environments, procedures and systems while maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism. Key requirements include a Pharmacy Technician qualification or relevant pharmaceutical/pharmacy qualification and experience, previous community or retail pharmacy experience, strong communication and organisational skills, good IT and administrative ability, and excellent attention to detail.
Experience with McLernons, MPS, TouchStore/RX365 or similar dispensing systems is desirable. The candidate must be reliable, flexible and willing to travel to client pharmacy locations as required.
