Job Description

The Opportunity Immerse yourself in cutting-edge technologies by serving as a Petroleum Engineer to energy clients. You will support the development of new technologies for subsurface resource extraction by advising on design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored R&D programs. Your insights will inform clients about emerging technology needs, and you will collaborate with technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development. This onsite position is based in Washington, DC. Qualifications 10+ years of experience authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research related to subsurface resource extraction 2+ years of experience in an operational role in hydraulic fracturing of shale for oil and gas extraction Ability to travel up to 15% of the time Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering Preferred Qualifications Experience in an advisory role Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ability to ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking Excellent communication, organizational, client service, and analytical skills Doctorate in Petroleum Engineering or related field Vetting Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client. Compensation Projected compensation range: $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Work Model Remote: may still be required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility. Hybrid: expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, with occasional visits to a customer facility.
