Personal Injury Attorney U.S. Law Firm

A growing U.S.-based Personal Injury Law Firm is seeking a bilingual Attorney (English/Portuguese) to support its personal injury practice. This position is ideal for a licensed attorney in Brazil who has prior experience handling personal injury matters and is interested in leveraging their legal expertise within a fast-paced U.S. legal environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in case management, client communications, medical record coordination, and litigation support, working closely with U.S.-based attorneys to help move cases efficiently from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of personal injury matters and ensure cases progress efficiently.
• Communicate directly with clients in both English and Portuguese, providing updates and gathering case-related information.
• Request, track, review, and organize medical records, bills, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties involved in claims.
• Assist with liability investigations and case development.
• Draft demand packages, settlement documentation, correspondence, and case summaries for attorney review.
• Maintain accurate case notes and records within the firm's case management system.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys regarding case strategy, deadlines, and next steps.
• Monitor case milestones and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Support settlement negotiations by preparing documentation and case materials.
• Ensure compliance with firm procedures and personal injury case management standards.

Required Qualifications

• Law degree and active license to practice law in Brazil or another home-country jurisdiction.
• Minimum 2-3 years of legal experience , including direct experience handling personal injury matters.
• Professional fluency in English and Portuguese , both written and verbal.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing legal and medical documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work full-time in an on-site environment and collaborate with U.S.-based legal teams.
