Job Description

We’re hiring a Performance Marketing Manager for one of India’s most distinctive premium consumer brand in F&B - someone to own the paid growth engine across Meta, Google, and SEO. Strategy-first role; two specialist agencies report into this seat. The founder is close to this function - actively building their own understanding of performance marketing and AI-led tools.

They’ll know the difference between someone with genuine intuition for the channel and someone who’s learned the vocabulary. This hire is for the former. The brand carries real equity.

The brief is to use that intelligently - not spend against it blindly, not ignore it in isolation. If you’ve never thought seriously about how brand halo affects paid performance, this isn’t the right seat. Who you are 4 - 8 years in performance marketing with real ownership of Meta and Google - strategy, not just execution You’ve managed agencies and know the difference between good work and a comfortable retainer Strong on analytics - GA4, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Search Console.

You read data to make budget calls, not to fill a deck You understand the creative brief well enough to tell a designer exactly what a high converting ad needs - hook, format, CTA, and why Experience with high-AOV or occasion-led funnels - gifting, premium D2C, or any category where consideration cycles are longer and emotional triggers matter You actively use AI in your work - not as a novelty, but as a genuine part of how you move faster and sharpen judgment Enough SEO fluency to set direction and evaluate agency output - deep technical SEO not required Familiar with Shopify performance metrics and the levers that move them You flag blockers early, own your numbers, and push back when something isn’t working What the role owns Strategy and performance of Meta and Google campaigns across D2C and gifting Agency management - briefing, output review, weekly reporting standards, escalation when performance dips Shopify site performance: conversion rate, checkout flow, AOV, abandoned cart The metrics that matter: CAC, ROAS, blended CPA, new customer acquisition rate Gifting-specific funnels - landing pages, lead capture, occasion-based sequences for higher AOV and longer consideration windows Paid and organic search working in coordination, not silos Weekly performance pulse and monthly channel-product review What the role does not own CRM and retention journeys, aggregator marketplace management, corporate gifting B2B outreach, or in-store footfall. Those sit in separate functions. This role goes deep on paid performance across D2C and gifting - it does not cover the full growth brief.
