Emera is hiring a Senior Analyst in Pension Operations based in Halifax, NS, working in a hybrid model. This role involves crucial pension governance and investment management responsibilities. As part of the Pension Investments team, your position will report to the Director and require collaboration with various stakeholders and external service providers.
You will oversee operations with pension custodians, manage financial statements, and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX regulations, while also engaging in vendor evaluations and reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations with pension custodians • Prepare corporate financial statements for pension plans • Maintain compliance with SOX and internal controls • Facilitate GST/HST reporting with tax professionals • Provide governance reports to pension committees Requirements: • Three years' experience in relevant financial management • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance or Accounting • CPA or CFA designation recommended • Experience with internal controls and pension management • Expertise in MS Office and Excel required Contribute your financial acumen to effectively manage Emera's pension operations and drive excellence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
