A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatrics in Staten Island, NY. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support students' communication development within a school setting and contribute to their academic success. Key Qualifications: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in school environments Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in children Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and provide effective therapy Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families Location: Staten Island, New York Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language assessments for students to identify communication needs Develop and implement targeted therapy interventions tailored to individual goals Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with educational standards Participate in meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development Adhere to ethical standards and stay current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy This contract opportunity is currently classified as a soft job order, indicating an engaging work environment with supportive administration and an emphasis on flexible scheduling to meet the needs of both the therapist and the students.
