The TransWest People & Culture Payroll Manager administers the activities relating to the company payroll and HRIS processing, including developing, implementing and monitoring (e.g., performing internal audit and control procedures to ensure that all wages and taxes are accurate). The individual will be the company’s subject matter expert with all payrolls and HRIS administration. Compensation $90,000 - $120,000 / Year Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance 401k with matching Annual pay raises Holiday pay Paid Time Off with increasing amounts based on your years of service Responsibilities Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees, entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary.

Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes. Evaluate and implement payroll/HRIS system upgrades and changes. Prepare quarterly tax credit reports and submit them to third party vendor.

Maintain employee records in payroll/HRIS systems. Respond to employee inquiries about pay, taxes, and timekeeping with discretion and efficiency. Stay current on payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices in compensation administration.

Administer and help design various company bonus and incentive programs. Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company policies. Administer the time and attendance policy and paid leave policy for all employees.

Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and human resources requirements. Administer 401(k) and retirement plan payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of associate deferrals, employer match contributions, Roth elections, and catch‑up contributions. Coordinate associate eligibility, enrollments, changes, and terminations, partnering with HR to maintain accurate data between the payroll system and the plan record‑keeper.

Prepare and submit 401(k) payroll contribution files after each pay cycle, validating totals, reconciling variances, and ensuring compliance with DOL remittance timing requirements. Lead year‑end activities such as W‑2s, ACA filings, and compensation reporting. Benefit invoice reconciliation.

Payroll benefit premium tracking. Annual benefit Open Enrollment support. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including managing end‑to‑end payroll operations. Must have strong knowledge of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time & attendance and self‑service systems. Experience with Paycom is a plus.

Experience in multi‑state payroll. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Strong understanding of Human Resources processes and terminology, payroll and procedures. Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Possess strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadlines. Strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread. Possess a creative outlook with a problem‑solving attitude.

Excellent time management, organizational, and follow‑through skills. Has shown ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data and ability to provide excellent customer service. Excellent in Microsoft Office applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
