Job Description

Purpose

Ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll and HR administration for Iberia, while providing high-quality employee support and maintaining reliable HR data and processes. The role covers payroll, personnel administration, time management, leave and permits, HR reporting, and compensation & benefits support, acting as a key partner for employees, the HR Director and the business.

Areas of responsibility

  • Payroll & compliance – Iberia
  • Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process with the external provider.
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish labour, social security and tax regulations, collective agreements and Nexans policies.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including time & attendance, overtime, bonuses, variable pay, shift premiums and absences.
  • Perform checks, reconciliations and discrepancy follow-up before payroll approval.
  • Manage absence-related documentation and permits.
  • Support payroll reporting, audits and inspections.
  • Drive process improvement, standardisation and digitalisation.
  • HR administration & personnel management
  • Manage the administrative side of the employee lifecycle: onboarding, internal mobility, contractual changes and offboarding.
  • Prepare HR documents such as contracts, renewals, amendments, terminations, letters and certificates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HR systems; SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Administer the time & attendance system, including working time, shifts, remote work, vacation planning and annual leave calendars.
  • Ensure proper archiving, confidentiality and data integrity of employee files.
  • Support coordination and control of temporary workforce, agencies, hours and costs.
  • Compensation, reporting & HR projects
  • Support implementation of compensation & benefits, ensuring correct reflection in payroll and HR systems.
  • Prepare HR reports and KPIs for Iberia to support decision-making.
  • Provide administrative support for training activities, including FUNDAE where applicable.
  • Participate in Iberia and Group HR projects related to HRIS, automation, data quality and policy harmonisation.
  • Promote continuous improvement in HR operations and employee experience.
  • Employee support & stakeholder management
  • Act as the main HR contact for employees on payroll, leave, permits, schedules and basic labour-law matters.
  • Explain collective agreements, company rules and HR policies.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure consistent and compliant HR practices.

Required Skills And Qualifications

Education

  • Degree in Labour Relations, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in HR, with strong experience in payroll and HR administration in Spain, ideally in a multinational environment.
  • Proven experience in payroll coordination with external providers, employee lifecycle administration, and time, leave and permit management under Spanish legislation.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Spanish payroll, social security, taxation and labour-law principles.
  • Experience with HR systems and time & attendance tools; SuccessFactors highly valued.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
  • Ability to prepare accurate HR documentation and reports, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with digital tools, automation and process simplification.
  • English level B2 minimum.
