Job Title: Patient Transporter
Location: Jamaica, NY 11432
Contract Duration: 2 months + probable extension
Shift: Day
Pay Rate: $18/hr - $21/hr
Job Overview
We are seeking 2 Patient Escorts to safely and efficiently transport hospital and ambulatory patients. This role involves assisting patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, and hydraulic stretchers in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or hydraulic stretcher
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during transport
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- Follow hospital protocols and safety guidelines
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong English communication skills (read, write, speak)
- Experience with:
- Patient escorting
- Wheelchair handling
- Lifting patients
- Client communication
Preferred Skills
- Stretcher handling
- Hydraulic stretcher handling
Education & Certifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Current CPR Certification (required)
