Job description HireArt is helping an onâdemand, autonomous rideâhailing company hire a Packaging Engineer to support the design, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions used across manufacturing, logistics, and service operations. In this role, youâll develop packaging and material flow solutions that improve product quality, operational efficiency, and logistics performance across manufacturing and supplier operations. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, processâoriented, and experienced in packaging design, supplyâchain operations, and manufacturing support within fastâpaced production environments.
As a Packaging Engineer, youâll: Partner with the staff packaging engineer to support the design, standardization, and implementation of packaging solutions for manufacturing operations. Develop and improve packaging systems used for supplier shipments, internal material handling, and service operations. Support vendor selection, supplier coordination, and packaging validation activities.
Collaborate crossâfunctionally with vehicle engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure packaging solutions meet operational and product requirements. Develop procedures and processes related to packaging validation, continuous improvement, and supplier feedback management. Support and own service packaging initiatives, including packaging optimisation and implementation activities.
Partner with packaging engineering and logistics teams to implement material handling and conveyance solutions that support manufacturing operations. Work with suppliers to improve packaging quality, transportation efficiency, inventory management and overall logistics performance. Monitor packagingârelated KPIs and support initiatives that improve packaging effectiveness, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
Requirements A bachelorâs degree in industrial engineering, packaging engineering, supply chain management, or a related discipline. 4+ years of experience in packaging engineering, supply chain operations, logistics, manufacturing, or related environments. Experience within automotive or highâvolume manufacturing industries. Strong understanding of lean principles, logistics operations, and distribution or fulfillment processes.
Familiarity with logistics business systems and operational workflows. Knowledge of CAD software and technical drawing interpretation. Familiarity with automation systems, robotics, or warehouse automation technologies.
Strong analytical, organisational, and crossâfunctional communication skills. Experience monitoring operational KPIs and driving process optimisation initiatives. Benefits Preâtax commuter benefits.
