Job Description This is a contract that offers full benefits (medical, dental, vision, pension plans/saving options). End date 6/30/27. The Organizational Development Consultant partners with senior leaders across UCSF to strengthen organizational effectiveness through the design and implementation of performance management strategies and talent development initiatives.

This role focuses on improving how leaders set expectations, evaluate performance, and develop employees across the organization. While the role includes consulting with leaders on organizational effectiveness and change management, it is also highly execution-focused. The consultant is responsible for translating strategy into practical tools and solutions, including designing training programs, developing manager guides and resources, and facilitating leadership sessions that support effective performance management practices.

The position plays a key role in implementing enterprise performance management initiatives and continuously improving them based on feedback from leaders and employees. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training Expert knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized performance management, talent development and succession planning interventions. Minimum of 15 years of related experience Knowledge of the consulting process to effectively lead highly significant engagements from inception to conclusion Knowledge of the organizational environment of higher education and large academic medical center to understand client priorities, issues, motivations and constraints Demonstrates superior analytical, problem-solving, project planning and implementation skills Possesses superior consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills Demonstrates superior strategic-thinking and consulting skills in guiding the organization toward workable strategies and solutions Highly-skilled in navigating organizational complexity Incorporates excellent skills in change management programs on a regular basis Have superior written, verbal and presentation skills for influencing and facilitating sustained change Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained.

Sound judgment, ability to draw unbiased conclusions Ability to focus on priorities, strategies, and vision Ability to facilitate and influence people at all levels. Ability to persuade through both logic and appeal to positive motivations.
