RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.We are hiring Oral Chemotherapy Liaison Nurse into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Provide psychological, emotional and informational support to oncology and haematology patients and their families throughout diagnosis and treatment.

Act as a patient advocate, coordinate referrals and multidisciplinary care, and support patients attending other hospital departments or external services.

Provide education and training to patients, families and healthcare staff, including education on oral systemic anti-cancer treatments.

Maintain high standards of evidence-based practice through clinical audit, research, quality improvement, policy development and accurate clinical documentation.

Provide specialist clinical leadership within Oncology and Haematology, promote professional development, ensure compliance with hospital policies and professional standards, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of cancer services.

Requirements

Registered General Nurse with valid NMBI registration.

Hold a Postgraduate Qualification in Cancer Care/Oncology Nursing.

Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience, including at least 3 years’ experience in Medical Oncology.

Minimum 2 years’ oncology management experience at CNM1 level or above, with relevant management development training.

Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and within a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to work independently, manage an individual caseload, initiate and implement change, with good IT skills, teaching and assessing experience, and knowledge of nursing research.

Demonstrate a strong interest in developing the Oncology Liaison Nurse role and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of oncology services.
