Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of our EMEA Regulatory Reporting technology platform. In this hands‑on lead role, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end solution design, technical architecture, and guiding global development teams to deliver robust, scalable software solutions in an Agile framework.

Location: South Dublin (Hybrid: 3 Days On-Site / 2 Days Remote)

Industry: Financial Services / Regulatory Technology

Employment Type: Contract (initial 6 -18 months)

Daily rate: 500 - 650 per day

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead global development teams in designing, building, and deploying high-performance regulatory reporting solutions aligned with enterprise technology blueprints.
  • Architecture & Frameworks: Create reusable components, interfaces, and technical frameworks to be leveraged across the enterprise.
  • Hands‑On Development: Actively write and review code, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure database and solution performance.
  • Engineering Excellence: Drive code/design reviews, support test strategy creation, promote test automation, and define continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Agile Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute technical delivery within an Agile/SDLC framework using JIRA.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Interface with 3rd-party vendor platforms and build strong relationships with business and technology partners.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Maintain ownership of risk identification, action‑plan execution, and adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 10+ years of hands‑on software development experience with a proven track record in software delivery management.
  • Sector Background: Prior experience working within Financial Services or a large enterprise environment.
  • Database & Core Tech: Advanced hands‑on experience with Oracle Database Development and PL/SQL.
  • Integration & Backend Stack: Strong working knowledge of Informatica, Java, and Spring Framework.
  • Scripting & OS: Proficiency in Linux environment, including advanced Shell Scripting.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Practical experience with job scheduling (Autosys), Continuous Integration build/deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins), and Unit Testing Frameworks..
  • Methodology: Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile frameworks, and JIRA.
