Job Description Job Description About the Position The technical sales role will contact new prospects and maintain frequent communication with existing customers. You will be responsible for identifying technical solutions that meet customer requirements, resulting in long-term relationships and recurring production contracts. This position is integral to further accelerating the company's growth with customers around the world.

We will consider candidates ranging from 1~3 years of experience through experienced sales leaders. Responsibilities Business Development: Develop new outbound prospects, convert inbound opportunities, develop and grow existing accounts. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers.

Solution Sales: Learn the technical side of our products so that you can identify solutions in real-time when talking with customers. Account Management: Manage quotes, orders, and ongoing account communication. Travel: Visit clients across the world and meet customers at industry tradeshows.

Travel of 10%-25% is expected. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline (or 3-5 years direct optics/camera industry experience) Driven, goal oriented, and high velocity Friendly and outgoing Demonstrated ability to learn engineering technical topics and communicate these concisely. US-citizen Qualifications that will help your application but aren't required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Robotics, or Computer Science 1-3 years of experience at a technology or engineering-centric company 1-3 years of experience in account management or a sales role Knowledge of solution sales and negotiations Experience with outbound prospecting History of closing deals to successfully meet sales targets Benefits We offer a 401(k) match, HSA, medical/vision/dental insurance, and 10 paid holidays in addition to PTO.

Notes about the position This is an in person role in Kearny Mesa Monday-Friday, when not travelling for customer-related activities. Relocation to San Diego can be discussed if you are located more than 50 miles driving distance. This role requires US citizenship as we have a growing customer base in the US defense and military ecosystem.
