Operations Manager

Ponder Environmental Services is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to oversee and lead the day-to-day operations of our Benicia office. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency, productivity, and continued growth across our operations. As Operations Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in optimizing logistics, managing personnel, improving processes, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

What You’ll Do Oversee daily operations of the Benicia office Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment Lead staff meetings and address employee concerns Manage supervisors and guide team performance Develop schedules, policies, and operational procedures Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing Support business development through networking and client engagement Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly Oversee logistics, inventory, shipping, and risk management Partner with dispatch and mechanics teams to ensure smooth operations Drive cross-department collaboration and efficiency What You Bring Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience managing teams and operational workflows Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to interpret technical, financial, and legal documents Strong analytical and decision-making abilities Comfortable presenting to leadership and stakeholders Proficiency with business and operational software systems Preferred Systems Experience ISNetworld, PECS, NCMS, ADP Workforce Now, QuickBooks, JJ Keller, GeoForce, Samsara (GPS), Microsoft Office, GoCanvas, and mobile applications Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid California Driver’s License with a clean DMV record 40-Hour HAZWOPER Confined Space Entry & Rescue TWIC Card CPR / First Aid / AED Certification Passport What Ponder Offers Compensation & Benefits We value our employees and offer a competitive benefits package, including: Salary Rate Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Life, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay Equal Opportunity Employer Ponder Environmental Services is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affiliated Action employer.
