What We’re Looking For Exceptional leadership and management skills Strong interpersonal and organisational skills Experience of overseeing operations, preferably in a church setting Proactive and self‑motivated Flexible and innovative, able to adapt to changing circumstances and to develop new ways of working Ability to juggle a broad range of responsibilities An open heart and “can‑do” attitude Good time‑management skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload A willingness to work with Christ Church Summerfield’s values Personal walk with Jesus underpinning a lifestyle of integrity Practising Christian, as a genuine occupational requirement Job Description & Information Job Title: Operations Manager Responsible to: Lead Pastor Hours: 21 hours per week (mid‑week flexible; office open Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays) Contract: Permanent with 3‑month probation Key Responsibilities & Tasks Lead day‑to‑day church operations, systems, administration, and team coordination. Plan and oversee Sundays, events, projects, bookings, and annual calendar management.

Support staff, volunteers, safeguarding, communications, and internal processes. Manage governance, compliance, finance administration, and reporting requirements. Oversee church buildings, facilities, contractors, health & safety, and site maintenance.

Coordinate baptisms, weddings, funerals, and external hall/church bookings. Work closely with the Lead Pastor, ministry leads, PCC, and serving teams to ensure smooth and sustainable church operations. Additional Duties Additional duties and support as agreed with the Lead Pastor.
