Job Description Job Description Position Objective Oversee the operations of ATOMIC’s Lititz, Miami, and Atlanta Modular Systems locations, working to analyze and implement consistent policies and strategies, ensuring the locations are functioning smoothly from an operations and overall leadership perspective. The dynamic nature of the live events industry requires flexibility to work overtime, including early mornings, evenings and weekends, as dictated by project schedules and client needs. Manage all systems and processes used in the day-to-day operations of ModS ensuring efficiency, accuracy and alignment with ATOMIC goals and values. Provide overall leadership for Lititz, Miami, and Atlanta locations, serving as a resources and facilitator when there are issues or concerns including maintaining efficient workflows, resolving issues, and ensuring service levels are met.
Implement improvements by analyzing workflow, staffing, space requirements, and equipment needs on a regular basis. Serve as the point person for determining the root cause of operations breakdowns, both internally and externally for locations and recommend process changes based on findings. Coach and mentor others by guiding instead of directing; ask good questions and offer perspective to help employees unlock their potential.
Provide timely feedback while encouraging others to seek it proactively. Empower ownership and decision making in others, learning from mistakes. Have meaningful 1:1 conversations to stay connected to your team’s experience.
Partner with employees towards development, finding opportunities for growth. Recognize contributions and celebrate progress. Provide recommendations on compensation decisions ensuring to align with company policies, and supporting performance-based pay practices.
Anticipates resource needs (people, equipment, etc.) to meet client and growth requirements. Oversee and manage Light Assembly and 3D Printing. Ensure compliance with the fire certification process for the ModS product and support other profit centers as needed.
Lead ModS and Manufacturing coordination to ensure efficient production scheduling, material flow, and on-time order fulfillment. Work collaboratively with Custom Fab shop floor and R&D to align production and development goals. Participate in annual budget and planning process, providing input and analysis to support operational priorities for the upcoming year.
Organizational Relationships The Operations Manager reports to the Director of Modular Systems and works closely with ModS Operations Manager in Las Vegas, Account Managerment, Logistics, Shop Floor Managers, Lititz, Shop Floor Leads and Finance. The following roles report to the Operations Manager: Warehouse Lead ModS & Light Assembly Technician. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of inventory management systems (e.g., Flex) Knowledge of health and safety practices in a warehouse environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Competence with Operations and Warehouse management organization and procedures.
Time management skills including prioritization Strong trouble-shooting skills with the ability to problem-solve decisively Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff in various departments, levels, and locations High bias for action with the proven ability to make sound decisions while ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction. Desired Credentials and Experience 5 – 8 years warehouse management experience. Proven experience as a people leader who creates conditions for team growth and success, providing timely feedback, coaching for development, empowering decision-making, fostering trust through transparency, and building a culture of recognition, connection, and psychological safety.
OSHA 10 or 30 Forklift certification. Maintain current passport and if applicable current driver’s license / clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of others.
Work Environment Typical workshop and warehouse environment the majority of the time with travel and indoor/outdoor offsite work at industry-based venues as required by projects. Page Break Page Break
