LHH is working with a leading manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee production, warehousing, and inventory control functions within a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands‑on leader with deep manufacturing experience, particularly in polymer processing, who thrives in fast‑paced, performance‑driven settings. The anticipated salary for this role is between $90,000-$120,000 yearly.
Responsibilities Lead day‑to‑day operations across production, warehousing, and shipping/receiving to meet or exceed performance goals related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer satisfaction Optimize the use of labor, materials, equipment, and facility space to support business objectives Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Develop and execute production schedules, capacity plans, and warehouse activities to align with customer demand Oversee inventory management processes, including accuracy, cycle counts, reconciliation, and traceability Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues, reduce discrepancies, and improve yield Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational performance Monitor and manage operational costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to stay within budget Analyze KPIs and operational metrics to identify trends and implement sustainable improvements Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence through regular audits Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and operational teams to build a high‑performing workforce Manage staffing activities including hiring, performance management, and employee development Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet organizational goals Qualifications Master’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field Minimum 5+ years of production or process management experience in a manufacturing environment At least 4 years of hands‑on experience in polymer compounding (including processing, testing methods, and equipment) Experience working within certified quality, safety, and environmental management systems Strong leadership, team development, and organizational skills Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) Experience with ERP and MRP system Medical, dental and vision (multiple plans available) Short‑term and Long‑term disability Life insurance 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
