Operations Manager-iStore Automated Retail

Express Retail Group is looking for a full-time Airport Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our six iStore automated retail locations throughout Vancouver International Airport.

iStore Automated Retail offers travellers a convenient way to purchase premium electronics and travel accessories through our state-of-the-art automated retail machines.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently and enjoys the energy of an airport environment. You will spend much of your day throughout the airport making sure our six locations are fully stocked, clean, operational and delivering a great customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Restock and merchandise iStore automated retail machines throughout YVR

• Coordinate, receive and manage inventory

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure high-demand products remain in stock

• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts

• Keep machines clean, organized and looking their best

• Monitor machine operation and identify or report technical issues

• Respond to customer questions or issues and help resolve them quickly and professionally

• Coordinate with the ERG operations team regarding inventory, product requirements and machine performance

• Help manage product deliveries and movement of inventory within the airport

• Take ownership of the day-to-day operation and performance of all six YVR iStore locations

What We’re Looking For

• Must live in Vancouver or the surrounding area

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work within Vancouver International Airport

• Extremely organized and dependable

• Able to work independently and manage priorities without constant supervision

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Comfortable dealing directly with travellers when an immediate issue needs to be resolved

• Physically able to lift and move boxes and inventory

• Comfortable spending most of the working day on your feet and walking throughout the airport

• Basic computer skills and comfortable working with inventory and reporting systems

• Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends when operationally required

• Positive attitude and someone who enjoys working in a busy, fun airport environment
