Overview This Operations Manager role offers the opportunity to play a central part in shaping how a growing technology business operates. You’ll sit on the senior management team, bringing structure, oversight and consistency across project delivery, quality and operational processes. It’s a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys improving systems, leading teams and ensuring complex software projects are delivered safely and reliably. Our client develops high-integrity software used in demanding environments where reliability and compliance are critical. As the organisation grows, they are strengthening operational leadership to ensure their processes, governance and delivery frameworks scale alongside the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will oversee operational performance across project delivery, quality management and internal processes. You’ll work closely with engineering, project management and commercial teams to ensure programmes are delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of compliance and quality. Responsibilities Leading day-to-day operational delivery across engineering, project management and quality functions Managing the Project Management team to ensure consistent planning, scheduling and delivery frameworks are applied Overseeing the Quality function and maintaining compliance with relevant industry standards Driving improvements in operational processes, systems and documentation as the business scales Monitoring performance through KPIs, dashboards and reporting to senior leadership Supporting strategic planning, resource modelling and operational readiness for growth Managing operational budgets, supplier relationships and commercial inputs to bids and proposals Leading continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen delivery capability and organisational resilience What You’ll Bring Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role in a software or technology environment Experience overseeing project management and/or quality functions Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery frameworks Familiarity with quality and compliance standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 26262, ASPICE or similar frameworks Ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement scalable operational processes Strong analytical and organisational skills with a structured, data-driven approach You’ll join a business at an important stage of growth, where operational leadership directly shapes how the company scales.
